What: World Music Contest 2009 (WMC)

The World Music Contest is held every four years in Kerkrade. Within the Contest there will be contests for the various musical formations ( amongst others a Brass Band contest). In 2005 19.000 musicians and 200.000 visitors took part in it.

International Brass Festival
This is a concert series being held on five days (04. 04., 06. 04., 09. 04., 11. 04., und 13. 04.) organised amongst others from WDR4, a major german radio station. There will be the presence of europeans top-bands like for example Brass Band "De Waldsang", Brass Band "Berner Oberland", "the Fairy Band" and "Mnozil Brass".

German Brass Band Championships 2008
After the first meeting of the german brass band scene last year in Würzburg, the first german brass band champioship will soon be taking place in Ingolstadt. The proper competition will take place in the 19th of april. On the 20th the competing bands will have the opportunity to play open-air concerts.

Open air concert - 10th anniversary of the Brass Band Düren
During a joyful get-together the Brass Band Düren will take you through a relaxed afternoon. Besides listening to music you will also have many opportunities to talk to the musicians and socialise. For families with children we will provide games and entertainment.
For the occasion of the 10th annicersary we specially invite all past members to join us for a reunion - if you like, bring along your instrument!

Concert in the course of the Lowland Brass Festival in Limburg
The Lowland Brass Festival provides an opportunity for the various Brass Bands from the Benelux states to play within a competition in front of a jury as a preparation for their national contests.
The Brass Band Düren will not take part in the competition but will play a normal concert in the course of the event.
