Impressions from our tour to the first german brass band competition in the course of the federal music festival in Würzburg 2007
A warm welcome in Rieden
The music society Rieden accommodated the Brass Band Düren during the federal music festival and looked after them excellently.
The proper competition
The proper competition took place on the 17. 05. 2007 in the "Mainfranken"-theater. It began at 11 am with the performance of the Brass Band Düren.
The photos show the stage of the "Mainfranken"-theatre, the Brass Band Düren during the competition and the sections of the band while they were warming up in the catacombs of the theatre prior to the competition.
The accommodation in Rieden
The Brass Band Düren experienced some unforgettable days while lodging with the music society Rieden. We heartly thank them for the great hospitality during those days!
The photos show the evening just after the competition finished. After a delicious meal the Brass Band Düren gave a spontaneous concert in front of a enthusiastic crowd from people of Rieden. There are also some pictures of the next days in Würzburg, where we spent some days in the company of our hosts after our official programm was over.
The rehearsal before our open-air concert
In the morning of the 18th we had a sunshiny outdoor-rehearsal for the open-air concert in Würzburg later that day.
Open-air concert in the patio of the "Bürgerspital"
At 2:30 pm the the Brass Band Düren performed their open-air concert in the patio of the "Bürgerspital" where everyone was in high spirits.
