Claudia Meures - Saxophon

- Claudia Meures together with the Brass Band Düren 2009
On the 25th of october 2009 Claudia Meures and the saxophon quartet "Ensemble Carambolage" played together with the Brass Band Düren on the annual concert.
As soloist she played the ballad from H. Tomasi. In the original it was written as solo for alto saxophone and symphonic orchestra. Johannes Meures transcribed it for Brass Band and solo saxophone.
The quartet "Ensemble Carambolage" played together with the Brass Band a Glenn Miller Medley, also transcirbed by Johannes Meures.
Claudia Meures studied saxophone in Amsterdam with Arno Bornkamp and absolved a "erasmusyear" with Kyle Horch at the Royal College of Music in London. She went on tours as soloist throughout Europe and to Singapur and China.

Ulrich Haas - Tuba and Euphonium
For this years annual concert on the 2nd of November (more...) we're very happy to welcome Ulrich Haas as our guest soloist.
He plays tuba with the Duisburg Philharmonic orchestra and is also known as a member of the "Melton tuba quartett" since 1987. Since 1985 he also teaches tuba at the Folkwang University.
