The spiritual father and founder of the brass band düren.

Lothar Esser has conducted the BBD form the beginning until 2005.

He was born 1964 in Düren und graduated in Tuba at the Music-University at Aachen and Düsseldorf. 1997 he achieved the Concert-examination from the famous Folkwang-University at Essen.

From 1988 to 2000 he was teaching tuba and euphonium at the musicschool Düren. He is a member of the Dortmund Philharmonic Orchestra since 1993.
