Martin Schädlich

Martin Schädlich conducts the Brass Band Düren since january 2005.

From 2001 until 2006 he completed his diploma with the main subject "trumpet" at the conservatoire in Mainz with Malte Burba. Parallel to this he completet the diploma "jazz" at the Johannes-Gutenberg-University in Mainz with Axel Schlosser.

Beginning in 2004 he participated in an advanced training course for "wind orchestra conducting" with Walter Ratzek  and completed it in 2006 as the first of the class.

Currently he lives as a freelance trumpet player and conductor in Cologne and conducts besides the Brass Band Düren the wind orchestra Birkesdorf and the wind orchestra "brass in concert" located in Mönchengladbach.

As a trumpet and cornet player he played amongst others with following orchestras/bands: music corps Hambach, the Big Band "What else" from the music school Jülich, Brass Band Düren, the youth wind orchestra of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, the european youth wind orchestra, the jazz orchestra from Würzburg, the big bands of the conservatoires in Mainz and Frankfurt, with the young german brass soloists, the GCO Big Band Cologne...
